Airlines Operate Longest Non-Stop Boeing 777 Routes to the US

The aviation sector has seen a remarkable increase in non-stop services connecting the United States with distant global destinations. Currently, four airlines are operating Boeing 777 flights to the US that exceed a distance of 8,000 miles. These routes, originating from Asia and the Middle East, link key cities on both the East and West Coasts of the United States.

Saudia Leads with the Longest Route

According to data from Cirium, Saudi Arabian flag carrier Saudia operates the longest non-stop US-bound flight with its Boeing 777-300ER. This route spans 8,328 miles (13,403 km) from King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) in Jeddah to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). In November 2025, Saudia plans six rotations, with flights operating three times a week starting November 17. However, due to low demand, the route is set to pause from January to May 2026.

The 777 aircraft deployed on this route are configured with 12 first class, 36 business class, and 242 economy class seats. When the route was initiated in 2014, Saudia’s CEO, Abdul Aziz Al-Hazmi, remarked that it would cater to various passenger demographics, including over 100,000 Saudi students in the US, their families, and religious pilgrims.

Emirates Connects Dubai and Texas

Another significant route is operated by Emirates, connecting Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). This route covers a distance of 8,038 miles (12,936 km) and is served daily by the Boeing 777-300ER. The flight, designated EK221, departs Dubai at 02:40 and arrives in Texas at 08:55 local time, with a block time of 16 hours and 15 minutes. The return flight, EK222, leaves DFW at 11:30 and reaches Dubai at 12:00 the following day after 14 hours and 30 minutes in the air.

The Emirates 777 features a seating capacity of 328 passengers, distributed across four classes. This configuration includes eight exclusive first-class suites, 40 business class flatbeds, 24 premium economy recliners, and 256 economy seats.

Asian Airlines Join the Ranks

In addition to the Middle Eastern carriers, two Asian airlines are also operating long-haul Boeing 777 routes to the US. Cathay Pacific connects Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) with John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), covering a distance of 8,070 miles (12,987 km). This route is served daily by the Boeing 777-300ER, which features a configuration of six first class, 53 business class, 34 premium economy, and 201 economy class seats.

Completing this list is China Southern Airlines, which operates a weekly service from Guangzhou to JFK, a distance of exactly 8,000 miles (12,875 km). This route utilizes the Boeing 777-300ER and offers 28 business class, 27 premium economy, and 305 economy seats onboard.
