AgiBot Unveils G2 Humanoid Robot at IROS 2025 Conference

The IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2025) recently showcased groundbreaking advancements in embodied intelligence, with AgiBot’s introduction of its latest humanoid robot, the AgiBot G2. This event, held in early March 2025, highlighted the potential of robots to learn and adapt through real-world interactions, marking a significant shift from theoretical frameworks to practical applications.

At the AgiBot booth, attendees had the opportunity to explore a full lineup of products, including the AgiBot G2, OmniHand, Lingxi X2, and YuanZheng A2. It boasts dual seven-degree-of-freedom arms, a three-degree-of-freedom waist, and folding legs that facilitate coordinated movement.

The capabilities of the AgiBot G2 were on full display as it performed a variety of tasks, demonstrating its proficiency in force-controlled assembly, parcel handling, and even executing a teleoperated archery routine with minimal latency. According to AgiBot, embodied intelligence is now a practical reality, with their technologies showcasing the ability of intelligent robots to adapt to complex environments while working safely alongside humans.

Competition Highlights Innovation

In addition to the product showcase, AgiBot hosted the AgiBot World Challenge 2025, which attracted 431 teams from 23 countries. This competition focused on real-world manipulation challenges that ranged from folding T-shirts and operating kitchen appliances to navigating moving conveyor belts. Participants utilized AgiBot’s open-source dataset and the EVAC baseline model to tackle these tasks.

Top honors were awarded to teams from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, HiDream.ai, and Tsinghua University & Shanghai AI Lab. Collectively, the winning teams earned over $100,000 in total prizes, along with innovation vouchers worth up to $100,000. This competitive spirit illustrated the practical applications of embodied intelligence, underscoring the importance of real-world solutions in robotics.

The IROS 2025 conference emphasized a growing trend towards integration, linking simulation, hardware, and artificial intelligence into cohesive systems. AgiBot’s approach, combining large-model intelligence with deployable hardware and a commitment to open collaboration, demonstrates the evolution of embodied AI from concept to industry reality.
