Connect Church Hosts Christmas Gift Giveaway for Local Families
Connect Church in Cranbrook is organizing a Christmas Gift Giveaway on December 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church’s 14th Avenue building. This initiative aims to support families in need by providing them with the opportunity to select gifts for their children during the holiday season.
The church has been actively collecting lightly used or nearly new toys from community members. Families attending the event will have the chance to choose from a variety of toys, making it easier for parents to provide Christmas gifts for their children. In addition to toys, Connect Church is also accepting donations of used winter clothing, helping to address the seasonal needs of local families.
Community Support and Activities
To enhance the experience, Connect Church will offer complimentary gift wrapping services and a card-making station where children and parents can create personalized holiday cards. Additionally, free hot coffee and hot chocolate will be available to keep attendees warm and create a festive atmosphere.
The church’s goal is to alleviate some of the stress that can accompany the holiday season, especially for families facing financial challenges. “Our hope is that this will make Christmas a little brighter for anyone struggling this year,” a representative from Connect Church stated.
As the event approaches, the church encourages community members to continue donating toys and clothing. This initiative not only aims to provide tangible gifts but also fosters a sense of community and support during the holiday season.
Connect Church’s Christmas Gift Giveaway reflects a broader commitment to community service and support, highlighting the importance of coming together to support one another, especially during the festive season.
