Abbotsford Hosts Festive Pet Photos with Santa Paws Fundraiser
On November 29, 2023, Abbotsford will welcome pet owners and their furry companions to the annual Pet Pics With Santa Paws fundraiser, hosted at Buckerfield’s. This festive event invites pets of all kinds to capture cherished holiday moments with Santa Claus in exchange for a donation to the BC SPCA.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., attendees can bring their pets to Buckerfield’s, located at 31852 Marshall Pl. Each pet owner will receive a digital copy of their photo with Santa, making it an ideal opportunity to create lasting memories during the holiday season. “This festive gathering is the perfect way to capture the magic of the season with your beloved pets,” stated the BC SPCA Abbotsford Community Animal Centre.
Important Changes This Year
This year’s event introduces a notable change; due to an increase in avian influenza cases, pet birds will not be accommodated. All other pets are welcome, provided they are kept on a leash or in carriers to ensure the safety of both animals and attendees. Organizers emphasize the importance of maintaining a safe environment for everyone involved.
