Community Mourns the Loss of Beloved Family Man Mark Tanner

Mark Tanner, born on October 1, 1964, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, surrounded by his devoted wife, Dana Tanner. Their enduring partnership spanned 31 years, and Dana remained by Mark’s side until the end, reflecting the deep bond they shared throughout their lives.

Mark was known for his vibrant personality and his ability to light up any gathering. Family and friends will fondly remember him as the life of the party, a man whose laughter and warmth filled every room. His love for singing, playing darts, and gathering around the table for games of cards and dominoes brought joy to many. Those who knew him often recall his signature catchphrase, “Really?” which never failed to elicit smiles and laughter.

The Tanner family is heartbroken by the loss of Mark, who is predeceased by his sister, Christine, and his father, Ron. He is survived by his mother, Margaret; his daughter, Ashlee (Tim); his stepdaughter, Christine (Jay) and Carol; stepson, Andrew (Amanda); and his sister, Monique. Mark also leaves behind his brothers, Alvin (Theresa) and Harold (Lynn), along with numerous nieces and nephews. A proud grandfather, he cherished the time spent with over 25 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy.

Memorial Service Details

Cremation has already taken place, and the Tanner family invites friends and loved ones to a memorial visitation at Corbett Funeral Home located at 95 Dundas Street N., Cambridge, Ontario. The visitation will occur on December 9, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a service in the funeral home chapel at 13:00.

In the spirit of celebrating Mark’s life, a larger gathering will take place in the summer of 2026, where family and friends will come together to honor his laughter, love, and unforgettable spirit.

For those unable to attend the service in person, a livestream will be available, accessible through the link provided by the family, which will go live 15 minutes before the service begins.
