Lexus Launches Glam LX Concept, A Mobile Beauty Experience

Lexus has introduced a striking new concept vehicle, the Glam LX, designed as a mobile beauty salon. This innovative SUV reimagines luxury travel by incorporating a beauty station, nail bar, and clothing storage, making it a unique offering in the automotive market. The concept was unveiled as part of Lexus’s exploration of modern vehicle capabilities, aiming to create an “extension of one’s home” that caters to beauty and fashion enthusiasts.
The 2025 Glam LX is based on the standard Lexus LX and has undergone significant modifications to transform it into a “full-service glam suite.” Lexus collaborated with Complete Customs to develop this one-off vehicle, which features a distinctive Pearl Symphony chameleon exterior wrap and elegant crystal-faceted badges. Inside, the SUV boasts a pink-and-white leather interior adorned with luxurious materials such as mohair, silk, and stone.
Features of the Glam LX
Among the standout features of the Glam LX are the rear French doors, which replace the traditional liftgate. These doors come equipped with illuminated mirrors and pull-out chairs, enhancing the vehicle’s beauty experience. An LED-lit clothing rack and drawers provide storage for garments, accessible from a private changing area that features a retractable privacy screen.
The second-row seats are transformed into a beauty station, complete with stone-inlay tray tables, a full-width drop-down illuminated mirror, and a halo-lit skylight for optimal lighting. The front row offers a nail bar conveniently located within the glove box, catering to those seeking a quick touch-up while on the go. Additionally, the interior includes power outlets, hot-tool holders, a dedicated handbag storage compartment, and a refrigerated cosmetics console, ensuring that beauty essentials are always within reach.
Lisa McQueen, senior manager of Lexus marketing, described the Glam LX as “a bold statement of Lexus design and innovation applied in a completely unexpected way.” She emphasized the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries in automotive design and functionality.
Future Plans for the Glam LX
Lexus plans to showcase the Glam LX at various marketing events throughout the year, allowing consumers to experience this unique vehicle firsthand. Despite its innovative design, Lexus has confirmed that the Glam LX will not enter production, maintaining it as a concept vehicle that highlights the brand’s creative vision.
As the automotive industry continues to evolve, vehicles like the Glam LX challenge traditional notions of functionality and luxury, illustrating how brands can blend everyday life with innovative design.
