Newlywed Couple Dances on Stage at Jonas Brothers Concert

A newlywed couple from Chilliwack experienced a memorable moment when they had their first dance onstage during a Jonas Brothers concert in Vancouver. Kenzie and Parker Roach transitioned seamlessly from their wedding ceremony at Honeymoon Bay in Cultus Lake to the vibrant atmosphere at Rogers Arena on September 18, 2023.
The couple, still dressed in their wedding attire, joined the American pop rock band on stage to the tune of “When You Look Me In The Eyes.” Kenzie, aged 29, and Parker, aged 26, were thrilled to share this unique experience in front of a cheering audience. Kenzie expressed her excitement, stating, “It was our first dance,” as the brothers—Nick, Kevin, and Joe—smiled and engaged with the couple during the performance.
The journey to this unforgettable moment unfolded rapidly. After a two-and-a-half-year engagement, Kenzie and Parker struggled to finalize their wedding plans. They had initially purchased presale tickets for the concert and decided in August to schedule their wedding on the same day as the event. With just 29 days to prepare, the couple organized a wedding that coincided with their concert plans and upgraded their tickets to the pit area.
During the concert, Kenzie took the opportunity to shout out a song request, which caught Joe Jonas’s attention. “My mom said this would be the best wedding song ever,” she recalled. After her request, the brothers invited them onstage, a moment that took the couple by surprise.
Once backstage, they had the chance to meet Frankie Jonas and prepare for their stage appearance. Despite feeling nervous, Kenzie quickly found her confidence once on stage. “The brothers have that aura about them. It was like ‘We got you. Do your thing. Enjoy this moment,’” she reflected. She described the experience as “amazing,” particularly when looking out at the sea of fans.
Parker, on the other hand, remained focused and tried not to overthink the situation while performing. “It was a pretty crazy experience,” he shared. Since their wedding day, friends and fans have been sharing videos and photos of the couple’s remarkable moment, leading Kenzie to humorously comment, “We planned for a small wedding and now it is a viral wedding.”
The couple expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming love and support they have received. Kenzie stated, “I want to thank everybody who has seen it, and shared the love, and took photos and videos and shared them with us. We’re so extremely grateful.” This extraordinary day not only marked a significant milestone in their lives but also created a cherished memory that will likely be shared for years to come.
