Police Seek Victoria Hilliard in Toronto for Second-Degree Murder

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are actively searching for a woman wanted for second-degree murder who may be in the Toronto area. Authorities have issued an alert for Victoria Hilliard, 29, who has been charged in connection with the homicide of Mark O’Keefe, 42, in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
According to an RCMP news release, O’Keefe was discovered deceased on December 12, 2023, following a report of a suspicious death near a highway turn-off in Fort McMurray. Shortly after, police received additional reports about a vehicle fire in the same vicinity, which investigators believe could be linked to the ongoing case.
Description of the Suspect
Hilliard is described as standing at 5 feet 7 inches tall, with blue eyes and blond hair. It is important to note that she frequently changes her hair colour, making identification potentially challenging. She is also marked by several tattoos, including a mermaid on her left wrist, butterflies on her left forearm, and a triple moon symbol on her upper left forearm.
The RCMP have issued a warning to the public, advising anyone who spots Hilliard not to approach her. Instead, individuals are encouraged to contact law enforcement immediately to assist in her apprehension.
The investigation into O’Keefe’s death has raised significant concern within the Fort McMurray community, prompting heightened police presence and outreach efforts to ensure public safety. Investigators are working diligently to gather more information and evidence related to this case, including any potential connections between Hilliard and the vehicle fire that may provide further insights.
The RCMP encourages anyone with information about Hilliard’s whereabouts to contact their local police department or reach out to Crime Stoppers. The case remains active, with authorities committed to ensuring justice for the victim and the community.
As the search continues, police are hopeful that public tips will lead to a swift resolution to this troubling case.
