LaSalle’s Truck or Treat Promises Fun for Families on October 25
LaSalle is gearing up for its annual Truck or Treat event, a family-friendly Halloween celebration scheduled for October 25 at the Vollmer Complex. The event invites children to explore an array of unique vehicles, including emergency and construction trucks, while gathering treats along the way.
Families can find the festivities located in parking lot #5, situated between the soccer fields. For convenience, parking is offered in lots #3, 4, 6, and 7. Lots #1 and 2 are reserved for attendees of scheduled programming within the facility.
As part of the community spirit, LaSalle firefighters will be collecting new, unwrapped toy donations for the LaSalle Sparky’s Toy Drive. This initiative aims to support local families in need during the holiday season. Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit public works displays and participate in a special naming contest for the town’s newest bucket truck, which is set to enter service later this year. Students from Grade 1 classes in LaSalle will submit their favorite names, and visitors will vote on their preferred choice. The winning name will be announced on-site at 15:00.
Admission for children is priced at $3, while parents and guardians can enter free of charge. Attendees are encouraged to bring trick-or-treat bags and wear costumes, as candy will be readily available on tables throughout the event for children to collect.
The Vollmer Complex is located at 2121 Laurier Parkway, LaSalle. Truck or Treat will proceed as an outdoor event, rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, town staff may close the event temporarily until conditions improve.
For further details, including updates on weather-related changes, visit the town’s official website at lasalle.ca or contact the town office at 519-969-7771. This festive gathering promises a delightful experience for families looking to enjoy Halloween in a safe and engaging environment.
