Batavia Chamber Invites Nominations for 2025 Citizen of the Year

The Batavia Chamber of Commerce has launched the nomination process for the prestigious 2025 Batavia Citizen of the Year Award. This award honors a local resident whose lifelong dedication and service have significantly enhanced the community.
To be eligible, nominees must either reside in or operate a business within Batavia or Batavia Township. They should have made notable contributions to community programs or improvements through their personal commitment. Importantly, current members of the chamber’s board of directors are not eligible for nomination, and chamber membership is not required for nominees.
The award recipient will be celebrated as the guest of honor during the chamber’s annual Inspire Celebration on April 23, 2025, at Revelry 675, located at 675 S. River St., Batavia.
Nominations must be submitted in the form of a letter of recommendation by November 7, 2024. This letter should detail the reasons why the nominee deserves the recognition. A committee comprising past award recipients will review all submissions. Recommendations can be sent via email to [email protected] or mailed to Margaret Perreault, president and CEO of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce, at 106 W. Wilson St., Batavia, IL 60510.
For further information regarding the nomination process or the award, interested parties can contact Margaret Perreault via email or call 630-879-7134. This initiative aims to spotlight individuals whose contributions have left a lasting impact on the Batavia community, fostering a spirit of gratitude and recognition among residents.
