University of Illinois Extension Offers Bone Health Class in Walnut

The University of Illinois Extension will host a class titled “Eating for Bone Health” on **October 27, 2023**, from **1:30 to 2:30 p.m.** This event will take place at the **Walnut Public Library**, located at **101 Heaton St.** Participants will learn essential information about improving bone health, including dietary recommendations and the importance of physical activity.
Attendees will explore various topics, such as the types of foods that support bone health, the necessary amounts of calcium and Vitamin D, and how exercise contributes to maintaining strong bones. In addition to informative discussions, participants will have the opportunity to create a bone-healthy snack mix and receive take-home recipes designed to promote ongoing bone health.
The class will be led by **Susan Glassman**, a nutrition and wellness educator with the University of Illinois Extension. Her expertise will guide attendees in understanding the critical components of a bone-healthy lifestyle.
