According to Toronto Police, the Audi, driven by a 69-year-old man, was heading southbound on Brimley Road when it collided with the eastbound Kia, which was also operated by a 69-year-old male. Toronto Police confirmed that one suspect has been taken into custody while others remain at large. Officers warned of a heightened police presence in the vicinity and advised the public to avoid the area if possible. Road closures were implemented, with northbound Kipling Avenue closed at North Queen Street and southbound Kipling blocked at Jutland Road. Additionally, Jutland Road was closed between Kipling and Islington Avenue.
As investigations continue into both incidents, authorities urge witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. The condition of the injured woman remains critical as the community hopes for her recovery.
