As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, farmers’ markets in the Edmonton area are gearing up for their seasonal closure. This weekend marks the final opportunity for local residents to visit several markets before they close until next year.

Downtown Farmers’ Market will operate on Saturday, November 4, from 10:00 to 15:00 at 104 Street downtown. The Callingwood Farmers’ Market will be open on Sunday, November 5, from 10:00 to 15:00 at the intersection of 69 Avenue and 177 Street. Additionally, the 124 Grand Market will welcome visitors on Sunday from 11:00 to 15:00, located at 102 Avenue and 124 Street. Lastly, the St. Albert Farmers’ Market will also close its season on Saturday, operating from 10:00 to 15:00 at 5 St. Anne Street.

While these markets will wrap up their seasonal activities, several others in the area remain open year-round. The Bountiful Farmers’ Market operates on Friday from 10:00 to 16:00, Saturday from 09:00 to 16:00, and Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00. The Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market is open on Saturday from 08:00 to 15:00 and Sunday from 11:00 to 15:00. Additionally, the Salisbury Farmers Market is available on Thursdays from 16:00 to 19:00, providing a consistent option for those wishing to support local vendors.

These markets not only offer a variety of seasonal produce and local products but also serve as a gathering point for the community. With the impending closure of seasonal markets, shoppers are encouraged to take advantage of these final days to stock up on fresh goods before the winter months.
