Harbour Air Expands Service with New Routes to Tofino and Ucluelet

Harbour Air is set to enhance its service on the West Coast with the introduction of new routes, marking a significant expansion of its network. Beginning on October 27, 2025, the airline will launch a winter service connecting Vancouver to Tofino. This service will occur four times weekly, offering a new travel option for storm watchers and surfers. This marks Harbour Air’s inaugural winter flights to Tofino, complementing its existing schedule of twice-daily flights from downtown Vancouver that commenced earlier this year.
In addition to the new Tofino service, Harbour Air plans to start direct flights to Ucluelet in June 2026. This route will provide easy access to Vancouver Island’s unique attractions and the UNESCO-listed Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Reserve. The addition of these routes is part of a broader strategy to enhance year-round services, with the company also introducing daily flights from Vancouver to Campbell River starting on July 6, 2026.
Harbour Air will also reinstate its Vancouver to Victoria service on October 27, 2025, which will operate from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Victoria International Airport (YYJ). Seasonal adjustments to other routes were also announced, including a shift for the Vancouver to Powell River route to seasonal operation from mid-October to April 2026. Furthermore, the direct Vancouver to Sechelt service is set to commence on June 26, 2026, with the Sechelt to Nanaimo service resuming on May 4, 2026.
This expansion will increase Harbour Air’s daily departures from 150 to as many as 200, covering a total of 15 destinations. The airline is responding to rising demand from business and leisure travelers, as well as local communities. Additionally, Harbour Air plans to bolster cross-border service with daily flights between Vancouver and Seattle starting on June 11, 2026. This initiative comes ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, which is anticipated to draw significant international attention to the region.
“We’re responding directly to what our guests and communities are asking for: more choice, more flexibility, and more reliable travel,” said Chris Fordyce, Chief Commercial Officer at Harbour Air. He emphasized that the new routes and extended operating hours reflect the company’s commitment to facilitating travel for both locals and visitors. By introducing wheeled services during the winter months, Harbour Air aims to ensure that travelers can reach their destinations efficiently and conveniently.
With these enhancements, Harbour Air is poised to support increasing travel needs while maintaining its dedication to local connectivity.
