ACES Academy Celebrates Recognition During National School Choice Week
ACES Academy in Montgomery, Illinois, is gaining national attention for its commitment to educating parents about the various learning options available for their children. The academy has been designated as an All-Star participant in the upcoming National School Choice Week, which runs from January 25 to 31, 2024. This recognition comes from the National School Choice Awareness Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting educational alternatives.
According to a news release from ACES Academy, fewer than 5% of the more than 26,400 schools participating in National School Choice Week receive the All-Star designation. Schools that achieve this status are acknowledged for their exceptional efforts in raising awareness about the diverse education options available to families, which include public, charter, magnet, private, online, and home education.
The All-Star participants are encouraged to host family-oriented events that inform parents about their educational choices while celebrating students, teachers, and local school communities. ACES Academy plans to host a special event—a family and founder “fireside chat”—to foster discussions among families and other program founders in Illinois. This gathering will take place on Saturday, January 31, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at 63 Fernwood Road, Door 2, Montgomery.
During the event, families will have the opportunity to explore the learning environment, meet educators, and engage with hands-on learning stations. Current homeschool families will also share their experiences, providing valuable insights into alternative educational pathways.
Registration for this event is currently open on the ACES Academy website at www.togetherwelearnbetter.com/events. Families are encouraged to attend and learn more about the educational options available to them as part of this important celebration of school choice.
