Peru Public Library Unveils Exciting November Events for All Ages
The Peru Public Library in Peru, Illinois, has announced a diverse lineup of events and programs scheduled for November. These activities aim to engage the community, providing educational opportunities and recreational enjoyment for individuals of all ages.
Upcoming Events for Children and Teens
The month begins with the Tween Scene program on November 4 at 18:00. This engaging event focuses on Dia De Los Muertos, featuring games and crafts tailored for children aged nine to eleven. Participation requires registration, which can be completed by calling 815-223-0229.
On November 15 at 13:00, the library will host its Kids STEM Lab: Fall Science, where children aged five to eight can partake in fall-themed science experiments. Registration is also necessary for this program.
Another exciting event, Brick Builders, is scheduled for November 18 at 18:00, welcoming young builders to create with Legos. Additionally, Toddler Time will take place on November 28 at 10:00, offering tactile explorative play with fall sensory bins for children aged one to four. Registration is required for this event as well.
For teens, the Teen Game Night on November 7 from 18:30 to 20:30 invites participants from sixth to twelfth grades to compete in a games tournament. Prizes and snacks will be available to enhance the experience.
Adult Programs and Community Health Opportunities
The library is also dedicated to adult programming, beginning with Wellness Wednesday with In-Home Care on November 5 at 11:30. This event features free health screenings, including blood glucose and blood pressure checks. Participants are advised to fast for eight to twelve hours prior to the blood glucose testing.
On November 6 at 18:00, the Medicare Education Program will provide valuable insights into healthcare decisions and Medicare options, presented by employees from Keystone Retirement Solutions. This program is ideal for adults seeking to make informed choices about their health care.
For those looking for a relaxed afternoon, the library will host a Movie Matinee on November 17 from 13:00 to 15:00, featuring a film screening open to the public.
