Prince Albert Science Centre Hosts Slime Lab for Halloween Fun

The Prince Albert Science Centre is inviting families to get creative this Halloween with a series of slime-making workshops. Scheduled for October 18, 19, 25, and 26, the slime lab will run from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day, offering a fun and interactive experience for children and parents alike.
Participants can create and decorate their own slime for just $10 per container. The initiative aims to provide an engaging activity that combines science and creativity, perfect for the upcoming Halloween festivities. Sandra Williams, Chair of the Prince Albert Science Centre, emphasized the importance of hands-on experiences in sparking interest in science among young people.
On October 14, local journalist Nigel Maxwell visited the centre to experience the slime lab firsthand. He noted that the event not only allows children to indulge in gooey fun but also serves to educate them about the science behind slime creation. “It’s a great way to blend learning with enjoyment,” Williams commented.
The slime lab is part of a broader effort by the Prince Albert Science Centre to engage the community through various educational programs. By offering interactive experiences, the centre hopes to foster a deeper interest in science among children. As Halloween approaches, this initiative promises to be a highlight for families looking for festive activities.
With the materials provided and expert guidance available, the slime lab is expected to attract many attendees eager to craft their own unique slime creations. This event exemplifies how science can be both entertaining and educational, making it an appealing choice for families in the area.
The Prince Albert Science Centre continues to innovate with programs that bridge the gap between scientific learning and fun, ensuring that the spirit of inquiry is alive in the community, especially during the festive season.
