Prince Albert Science Centre Offers Slime-Making Fun for Halloween
The Prince Albert Science Centre is set to bring a touch of Halloween excitement with its upcoming slime lab, scheduled for October 18, 19, 25, and 26. From 12:00 to 16:00, families can engage in a hands-on experience, creating and decorating their very own slime for only $10 per container.
This initiative aims to provide a fun and educational activity for children and parents alike. Sandra Williams, Chair of the Prince Albert Science Centre, expressed enthusiasm about the event, emphasizing its potential to inspire creativity and scientific curiosity among young participants.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore various slime-making techniques, including different textures and colors, allowing for personalized creations. The slime lab not only promises to be an entertaining experience but also serves as a platform for learning about the science behind slime and its properties.
With Halloween approaching, the slime lab offers a festive way for families to engage in seasonal activities. Nigel Maxwell from paNOW had the chance to visit the centre and interact with Williams, who highlighted the significance of such events in fostering interest in science among youth.
Parents are encouraged to register in advance, as the slime lab is expected to attract significant interest. This engaging activity not only provides a creative outlet but also reinforces the importance of hands-on learning in a fun, relaxed environment.
As the event draws nearer, excitement builds within the community. The Prince Albert Science Centre continues to play a vital role in promoting educational activities that entertain and inform, making science accessible and enjoyable.
