The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has announced a recall of certain brands of pistachios in British Columbia due to potential Salmonella contamination. On Friday, the CFIA identified the issue following a test that prompted the withdrawal of specific products from the market.

The affected items include Pistachio In-Shell Lime and Saffron, which do not carry a label, and Persian Style Pistachios with Saffron. These products were sold in various sizes, with the Pistachio In-Shell Lime and Saffron available for purchase between September 5 and September 19, 2025. The Persian Style Pistachios have specific codes, #7081 and #7080, and were sold from August 28 to October 11, 2025.

As of now, there have been no reported illnesses linked to this recall. The CFIA advises consumers who have purchased these pistachios not to consume them. Instead, they should return the products to the place of purchase or dispose of them safely.

In the event that individuals believe they have fallen ill after consuming the recalled pistachios, the CFIA encourages them to contact their healthcare provider for guidance. For detailed information regarding the recall and affected products, consumers can visit the CFIA’s official website.

This recall serves as a reminder of the importance of food safety and the role of regulatory agencies in monitoring and protecting public health. The CFIA continues to work diligently to ensure that food products in Canada meet safety standards and to promptly inform the public of any potential health risks.
