Clue Enhances Women’s Health Insights Through New Wearable Partnerships
Clue, a leading women-led period and cycle tracker with over 100 million users globally, has announced new partnerships with several prominent wearable device brands, including Withings, Ultrahuman, WHOOP, Huawei, Polar, Fitbit, Noise, and Luna. This expansion aims to provide women and individuals with cycles a more comprehensive understanding of their health by integrating various metrics from these devices.
The new integrations will enhance Clue’s existing collaboration with ŌURA, established in 2023. As wearable technology continues to gain popularity, Clue’s data indicates a significant demand for this integration, with over 60% of survey respondents expressing interest in using wearable devices for health monitoring. Nearly 40% of users are keen to track their menstrual cycles through wearables to better understand their body.
Enhanced Tracking for Greater Insights
The newly added features will enable Clue users to track sleep duration and skin temperature, combining these aspects with menstrual and hormonal data. This integration is designed to empower users in three key ways:
1. **Continuous tracking**: Wearable devices will passively monitor skin temperature and sleep duration without requiring active input.
2. **Smart sync**: Users’ health data will be securely transferred to Clue, where it will be combined with self-reported symptoms and cycle information.
3. **Contextual insights**: This data amalgamation allows users to identify patterns related to their menstrual cycle, including insights into perimenopause and other life phases.
By correlating sleep and temperature variations with menstrual cycle phases, users can identify trends that affect their health, such as sleep quality in relation to energy levels or mood fluctuations. These insights contribute to a holistic understanding of individual health journeys.
Rhiannon White, CEO of Clue, emphasized the importance of these advancements. “Our mission at Clue is to help women and people with cycles understand their bodies and take control of their health. Expanding our partner ecosystem is beneficial for our members and drives Clue’s growth as the most trusted platform for women’s health data globally.”
