GreenFields of Geneva Recognized for Exceptional Senior Care Services

GreenFields of Geneva has been distinguished as the Best of the Fox Premier Senior Living Community, earning accolades in multiple categories, including Best Assisted Living and Best Skilled Nursing. This recognition highlights the community’s commitment not just to care, but to creating meaningful experiences for its residents.
Commitment to Community and Care
The staff at GreenFields of Geneva exemplifies understanding, patience, and respect, fostering a supportive environment for residents. Jenna Thieding, the community’s administrator, emphasized the importance of emotional support, stating, “Our staff, the teams, are there for residents through all the emotional highs and lows.” Thieding, who recently transitioned from another Lifespace Community in Florida, is dedicated to building relationships within the community and often engages with residents during her daily rounds.
Thieding’s personal background in healthcare, influenced by her mother who worked as a nurse, drives her passion for supporting older adults. “It’s very rewarding to see the impact I can have with residents,” she remarked. Her enthusiasm is shared by the entire team, which is essential in managing the diverse needs of the residents.
Comprehensive Care and Community Events
GreenFields of Geneva operates as a continuing care retirement community, offering a range of services from independent living to skilled nursing and rehabilitation. This multi-level care approach allows residents to age in place, ensuring they have access to necessary medical resources. Thieding noted, “We have everything here with physicians and resources available in-house.”
The facility also features specialized memory care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Tailored care plans incorporate speech, cognitive, and physical therapies, along with creative activities in music and art. These programs are designed to enrich the lives of residents, fostering connections and promoting their well-being.
Private memory care apartments are equipped with advanced safety features, and dedicated team members assist with daily activities and medication management. The community also offers various opportunities for health and wellness, arts engagement, and social connection, enhancing the overall living experience.
Residents enjoy multiple dining options, providing a space for social interaction, whether over a shared meal or a quick bite at the Bistro. The community’s location in Geneva, Illinois, near downtown shopping and dining, further enriches residents’ experiences.
GreenFields of Geneva is nearing 100% occupancy, reflecting strong interest in its services. In celebration of this achievement, the community is hosting Green Fest, an event scheduled for August 26, 2023, from 18:30 to 20:00. This event will welcome neighbors and the broader community to enjoy entertainment and food, with hopes of establishing it as an annual tradition.
The recognition and community engagement at GreenFields of Geneva illustrate a model of excellence in senior care, emphasizing the importance of connection and support in enhancing the quality of life for residents.
