OSF HealthCare to Offer Free Health Screenings in Princeton on Nov. 21

OSF HealthCare is organizing a complimentary community health event on November 21, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bureau County Metro Center, located at 837 Park Ave. W, Princeton, Illinois. This initiative aims to provide essential health services and resources to the local community.

Participants will have the opportunity to receive free health screenings on the OSF OnCall King Care-A-Van. Services include checks for blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose levels. Additionally, attendees will be able to engage in virtual consultations with OSF OnCall providers to address common health concerns, such as sore throats and viral illnesses.

The event will also feature on-site testing for COVID-19, influenza, and strep throat, all available without the need for prior appointments. Kandi Burlingame, OSF’s diabetes resource educator, will be present to offer valuable education on diabetes, including insights into symptoms and effective management strategies.

In conjunction with OSF HealthCare, the University of Illinois Extension will provide attendees with healthy eating samples, recipes, and nutrition advice aimed at promoting heart health. This collaboration enhances the event’s focus on overall wellness and preventive care.
