Syrian-Canadian Pharmacist Launches Natural Skincare Line After Cancer Battle

Lina Hadid, a pharmacist who immigrated to Montreal from Syria in 2017, has recently launched a skincare line called Natura Touch, which features 100% natural products. This venture comes in the wake of her personal battle with stage four non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which she discovered while pregnant with her second child. Hadid’s journey reflects resilience and a commitment to health, both for herself and others navigating similar challenges.
From Personal Struggle to Entrepreneurial Spirit
Upon arriving in Canada, Hadid and her husband sought to integrate into their new environment, with Hadid enrolling in French classes to better connect with the local community. Her life took a drastic turn during her pregnancy when she faced the daunting diagnosis of cancer.
After successfully delivering a healthy son and beginning her recovery, Hadid felt compelled to delve deeper into the ingredients of the products she used on her skin and in her daily life. Her search for natural skincare options in the Canadian market proved challenging, leading her to create her own line of products.
“I wanted to search more about the ingredients for everything I put on my skin or inside my body,” Hadid stated. This led to the birth of Natura Touch, which she describes as a “healthy natural skincare brand.”
Supporting Others Through Shared Experience
Hadid’s background in pharmacy, coupled with her passion for wellness, fueled her determination to support others dealing with cancer. She expressed a deep connection to patients battling the disease, stating, “I want to support any patient, especially cancer, because I feel them. I already suffered with cancer and I know how important emotional support and hope are with this disease.”
Through Natura Touch, Hadid aims to provide not only quality skincare but also a sense of community and encouragement for those impacted by cancer. The brand symbolizes a positive outcome stemming from her difficult experiences, as she strives to inspire hope and healing.
Natura Touch represents a significant chapter in Hadid’s life, showcasing her transformation from a cancer patient to a business owner dedicated to wellness and holistic health. With this new venture, she hopes to empower others to make informed choices about the products they use while advocating for emotional support in the face of illness.
