Augustana College Honors 555 Graduates in Commencement Ceremony

Augustana College celebrated its 165th commencement ceremony, conferring degrees to a total of 555 students on a significant day for the institution. The event featured a keynote address by U.S. Representative Eric Sorensen, a Democrat from Rockford, who shared inspiring messages with the graduates. The ceremony also highlighted the achievements of notable students, including psychology major Ocean Keola Akau, who served as the featured student speaker.
The commencement took place on May 14, 2023, drawing attendees from various regions, including several local students who proudly received their diplomas. Among the graduates were individuals from communities across the Sauk Valley area, showcasing a range of academic disciplines.
