Fifty years ago, in 1975, Carrie Cumming, a 13-year-old junior bowler, made headlines by achieving a high single score of 210 in 10-pin bowling. This impressive feat not only set a standard for young athletes in the area but also showcased the potential of youth in competitive sports.
In 1985, the Brandon Wheat Kings, a prominent team in the Western Hockey League (WHL), strengthened their roster by acquiring right-winger Rod Williams from the New Westminster Bruins.
