Circle K Offers Free Coffee to Veterans on Remembrance Day
On November 11, 2023, Circle K will provide free medium coffee to veterans and active service members across Canada in a gesture of gratitude for their sacrifices. This annual offer coincides with Remembrance Day, a day dedicated to honouring the bravery of those who have served in the Canadian Armed Forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
As a proudly Canadian company, Circle K emphasizes the importance of community and national pride on this significant day. The coffee offer extends not only to medium coffee but also includes hot cappuccinos, tea, and iced coffee. Veterans and active service members can simply inform Circle K staff of their status to receive their complimentary beverage, with no identification required.
Honouring Service and Sacrifice
The initiative is part of Circle K’s commitment to acknowledging the contributions of over 93,000 individuals currently serving in the Canadian military and RCMP. This group includes approximately 19,000 officers in the RCMP, around 52,000 personnel in the Royal Canadian Navy, Army, and Air Force, and nearly 22,000 in the primary reserve. Their dedication reflects the resilience and strength of Canada, underscoring the nation’s debt of gratitude towards them.
Circle K’s free coffee offer is not only about the beverage itself; it is a small but meaningful gesture aimed at recognizing the unwavering commitment of veterans and active service members. The company urges all Canadians to take a moment on Remembrance Day to reflect on the sacrifices made for the freedoms enjoyed today.
A Call to Remember
In addition to the free coffee, Circle K encourages all Canadians to support the Canadian Legion by purchasing a poppy. This symbol serves as a reminder of the enduring legacy of those who have served Canada.
As Remembrance Day approaches, Circle K stands alongside the nation in expressing deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by members of the Canadian Armed Forces and the RCMP. By inviting veterans and active service members to participate in this initiative, Circle K reaffirms its dedication to community values and the spirit of gratitude that defines Canada.
For those eligible, visiting a Circle K location on November 11, 2023, offers an opportunity for a warm drink and a moment of reflection on the profound contributions of these individuals to the country.
