Claire Boudreau Honored as DAR Citizenship Award Winner at La Salle-Peru
 
																								
												
												
											La Salle-Peru Township High School senior Claire Boudreau has been named the recipient of the prestigious Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Citizenship Award for the 2025-26 academic year. This award recognizes a senior student who exemplifies outstanding qualities of patriotism, service, leadership, and dependability. Boudreau was selected for this honor by the faculty of La Salle-Peru Township High School.
The award highlights Boudreau’s exemplary character and contributions to her school community. According to Emily Carney, the counseling department chair at La Salle-Peru Township High School, “When it comes to identifying the most outstanding seniors in the Class of 2026, Claire Boudreau is a name that comes to the majority of staff and students’ minds. No matter the circumstance, Claire lives with the highest integrity and standards.”
Boudreau’s involvement in school activities is extensive. She participates in student council, plays on the softball team, and is a member of Link Crew, the senior board, and the Cavalettes dance team. Additionally, she has taken on leadership roles as a Superfans and CAVS Day leader. Her commitment to both academics and extracurricular activities demonstrates her dedication to fostering a vibrant school environment.
Looking ahead, Boudreau plans to pursue a degree in special education at a four-year university, where she also intends to try out for a collegiate dance team. Her aspirations reflect a desire to make a meaningful impact in both education and the arts.
Boudreau’s recognition as the DAR Citizenship Award winner not only celebrates her individual achievements but also highlights the strong values upheld by La Salle-Peru Township High School. As she prepares for the next chapter of her life, the community is proud to acknowledge her contributions and the bright future that lies ahead.
