Rather than taking advantage of CVI’s troubles, neighboring restaurants and pubs in the Cowichan Valley extended their kitchens to ensure CVI could continue its operations. This spirit of collaboration, rather than competition, stood out to Barron. It exemplified the goodwill that often emerges during the festive period, reinforcing his sense of community.

Reflecting on both his shopping experience and the support shown to CVI, Barron felt a renewed appreciation for the kindness that often goes unnoticed.
