La Salle-Peru High School Celebrates Homecoming Week Starting Sept. 29

La Salle-Peru Township High School will kick off its annual Homecoming celebrations on September 29, 2025, inviting Cavalier families, community members, and alumni to participate in a week filled with activities. The festivities will commence with a Variety Show on Monday evening at 7 p.m., during which this year’s Homecoming King and Queen will be announced.

On Wednesday, the excitement continues with the Powderpuff game at Howard Fellows Stadium. Attendees can enjoy food from Flo’s Food Truck, adding to the spirited atmosphere. The following day, Thursday, features a parade starting at 4 p.m. in Washington Park, Peru. The parade will follow the same route as last year, winding through both Peru and La Salle, and concluding near Howard Fellows Stadium.

The highlight of the week will be the Homecoming football game on Friday. This event is anticipated to draw a large crowd, showcasing the school’s athletic spirit. The week will culminate with a dance on Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. Students wishing to attend must present both their school ID and a ticket for entry.

Homecoming tickets and t-shirts are available for sale from Friday, September 26, through Thursday, October 2, during all lunch periods. Both the tickets and t-shirts are priced at $15 each, allowing everyone to participate in this cherished tradition.

This year’s Homecoming promises to be a vibrant celebration, reinforcing the sense of community and school pride among the participants.
