Luke Wadsworth Elevated to Lieutenant Colonel in U.S. Army Reserves

Luke Wadsworth, a former resident of Dixon, has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves. This advancement, which took place in August 2023, marks a significant milestone in Wadsworth’s military career, which began when he was first commissioned as an officer in 2005.
Currently, Lt. Col. Wadsworth serves with the 2nd Brigade, part of the 86th Training Division, based in Arlington Heights. He has been a member of the Army Reserves since 2022, demonstrating his commitment to service in various capacities over the years.
Wadsworth’s military qualifications are impressive; he is Army Ranger qualified and has participated in combat operations in both Afghanistan and Iraq. His extensive experience includes assignments that supported key military and governmental agencies, such as U.S. Cyber Command, Special Operations Command, the National Security Agency, the Department of State, and the Asymmetric Warfare Group.
In his civilian life, Wadsworth resides in Chicago with his wife, SaraBeth. He works as a development facilitator, focusing on leadership and human potential at Deloitte, a global professional services firm. His role there allows him to apply his military leadership skills in a corporate setting, contributing to the growth and development of others.
A graduate of Dixon High School in 2001, Wadsworth holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in administration. His educational background complements his military training, positioning him well for his dual roles in service and business.
Wadsworth is the son of Tom and Nancy Wadsworth, who still reside in Dixon. His promotion reflects not only his dedication to his country but also the strong support system he has from his family and community.
This achievement highlights the importance of leadership and commitment in both military and civilian spheres, showcasing Wadsworth’s exemplary service and the diverse skills he brings to his roles.
