Oswego Police Cadet Corps Announces 8th Annual Car and Truck Show

The Oswego Police Public Safety Cadet Corps Unit #1833 is set to host its 8th annual car and truck show on September 5, 2024, from 16:00 to 20:00. This popular event will take place on Main Street in downtown Oswego, Illinois, and aims to raise funds to support activities and equipment for the Cadet Corps.
Proceeds from the show and a raffle will directly benefit the Cadet Corps, which mentors young adults aspiring to become future law enforcement professionals. This community event not only showcases vehicles but also fosters connections between the police department and the community.
Event Details and Activities
This year marks the second occasion that the show will occur in the downtown area, emphasizing the event’s growing significance within the community. The car and truck show is open to all makes, models, and years, inviting a diverse array of vehicles for enthusiasts to admire.
Pre-registration costs $15 and is available online at www.oswegoil.org/carshow. For those who decide to register on-site, same-day registration will begin at 16:00 on the day of the event. Admission for spectators is free, making it accessible for everyone in the community.
Participants can look forward to trophies awarded in several categories, recognizing outstanding vehicles. Additionally, the event will feature a Touch-a-Truck area, where attendees can explore various police vehicles, including a BearCat.
Food, Prizes, and Community Engagement
Food trucks will be on-site, offering a variety of dining options for attendees. Door prizes will also be available, alongside a 50/50 raffle, adding excitement to the event.
