Owen Sound Hosts Fourth Annual Just Say Yes Wedding Event

Couples seeking a convenient way to celebrate their love can take advantage of the upcoming Just Say Yes Valentine’s Day wedding event in Owen Sound. Scheduled for February 14, 2024, this annual event will take place at city hall, allowing couples to tie the knot with minimal stress.

The Owen Sound River District is collaborating with the City of Owen Sound and Shannon Deckers Real Estate to offer this unique experience for the fourth consecutive year. Appointments are available every 45 minutes from 09:00 to 21:00, with both morning and evening time slots still open for booking.

The cost for participating in the Just Say Yes event is $500, in addition to the $150 fee for a marriage licence issued by the City of Owen Sound. Couples also have the option to obtain their marriage licence from any other municipal office in Ontario.

Weddings arranged through the Just Say Yes event come with a variety of features designed to enhance the experience. Each ceremony includes a selection of vows, accommodations for up to 20 guests, an officiant, decor, and access to bouquets and boutonnieres available for borrowing. Couples will also receive a digital photo package featuring 10 high-resolution photos, along with props and backdrops for memorable photo opportunities.

This event serves as a perfect alternative for those considering elopement, couples looking for a legal ceremony prior to or after a destination wedding, or anyone wishing to commemorate their relationship on Valentine’s Day.

The official photographer for the event is Krystal Klear Photography, capturing the special moments for couples. Additionally, Body Science will sponsor the Couples Refresh Suite, an accessible area where participants can prepare for their wedding day with various products provided by the sponsor.

Shannon Deckers Real Estate returns as the presenting sponsor for this year’s event, continuing its support for community initiatives. Free two-hour on-street parking and five-hour municipal lot parking are available in the River District, making it easier for guests to attend.
