Pinky Promise Boba Opens Doors to Community in Plano

Pinky Promise Boba, a new boba tea shop, officially opened its doors to the Plano community on September 17, 2023. The establishment, located at 137 E. South St, Plano, aims to create a welcoming atmosphere for families and friends while serving a variety of beverages and snacks.
Symbolizing Trust and Commitment
Owners Vanessa and Virginia Vences chose the name “Pinky Promise Boba” to reflect values of trust, commitment, and care. “A pinky promise is more than a gesture. It’s a bond of trust,” Vanessa explained. “These are the same values we hope to bring into this shop and into every drink we serve.”
The grand opening was celebrated with an event hosted by the Plano Area Chamber of Commerce, highlighting the significance of local entrepreneurship. Executive Director Tiffany Forristall expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “It is commendable to see a family endeavoring to establish a business in Plano. This charming and engaging venue represents an exciting addition to our community.”
A Diverse Menu for All Tastes
Pinky Promise Boba specializes in traditional boba tea, which typically features chewy tapioca pearls mixed with milk. In addition to this, the shop offers hot coffee, iced beverages, smoothies, and a variety of flavored drinks. A unique highlight of the menu is the freshly prepared crepes, designed to complement the drink offerings.
“Our goal is to create a place where people can come together, slow down, and enjoy something fun, colorful, and delicious,” Vanessa stated. “Whether it’s students grabbing a quick drink after school, friends catching up, or families sharing a treat, we want to be a space filled with connection and joy.”
