Princeton High School has recognized four outstanding students as representatives in the Mendota Elks Teen of the Month Competition for September and October 2023. The selected students are Landon Davis and Lydia Johnson for September, followed by Ryan Jagers and Caroline Keutzer for October.

The Elks Teen of the Month program aims to celebrate young individuals for their achievements in various domains, including fine arts, athletics, community service, and leadership roles in clubs and schools. Each month, the Mendota Elks Lodge selects one male and one female student as Teens of the Month. These monthly winners will later compete for the title of Teen of the Year, with those selected advancing to the district level. Ultimately, the finalists may participate at the state level, where they have the opportunity to earn scholarship funds.

Landon Davis is the son of Jessica Pinter and Luke Davis, residents of Princeton. His dedication to both academic and extracurricular activities has made him a standout choice for this recognition. Lydia Johnson, the daughter of David and Sheena Johnson from Tiskilwa, has equally demonstrated commitment and excellence in her pursuits, making her a deserving recipient for the September honor.

For October, Ryan Jagers, son of Tom and Gail Jagers, also from Princeton, and Caroline Keutzer, daughter of Steve and Michelle Keutzer, have been selected for their remarkable contributions to their school and community. Their hard work and engagement have earned them this prestigious acknowledgment.

This recognition not only highlights the individual achievements of these students but also emphasizes the importance of community involvement and leadership among the youth. The Elks Lodge’s initiative serves to inspire other students to strive for excellence in various facets of life, fostering a spirit of ambition and dedication within the community.
