Bill was the middle child of Margaret and Harvey Malcolm, joining older brother John and younger sister Lynda. In 1962, the family relocated to Oakville, where Bill formed many lifelong friendships in the Falgarwood area. He attended White Oaks Secondary School, where his passion for the arts flourished alongside his academic pursuits.
As a humanitarian, Bill was deeply engaged in social issues. He studied history and journalism at Carleton University and drama at the University of Guelph. Bill’s talent shone through as a compelling actor and inventive director, known for his brilliant wit and engaging performances.
From 1981 until his retirement in 2011, Bill served as a Marketing Executive at NOW Magazine, contributing significantly to the publication’s growth and success. His insights and clever puns were cherished by colleagues and readers alike, making a lasting impact on the media landscape.
Bill’s unexpected passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife and children, along with numerous friends and family members who are heartbroken by his loss. His legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire those he touched throughout his life.
