Rock Falls Gears Up for 2nd Annual Halloween Parade on Oct. 18

The second annual Spooktacular Halloween Lighted Golf Cart & UTV Parade is set to take place in Rock Falls on October 18, 2023. The event will commence at 18:30 local time and promises to be a vibrant celebration of Halloween. Participants will gather at the Rock Falls Township High School before embarking on a festive route that travels west to Second Street, continues to Second Avenue, and concludes at the First Street parking lot.
Last year’s parade was exceptionally well-received, featuring 29 creative entries and drawing large crowds along West Second Street. Spectators enjoyed the festive atmosphere, highlighting the event’s significance in the local calendar.
For those interested in participating, registration is open until 17:00 on October 15, 2023. Anyone with a golf cart or UTV is welcome to join in the fun. Organizers are also accommodating to those who may not possess a Rock Falls off-highway vehicle permit. A temporary one-day permit can be issued specifically for the parade.
To register or for more information, participants can contact the Rock Falls Tourism Office located at 603 W. 10th St. This event not only fosters community spirit but also showcases the creativity and enthusiasm of the residents of Rock Falls.
