Sault Ste. Marie Woman Wins $100,000, Marks Third Major Lottery Prize

Carol Chlebus, a resident of Sault Ste. Marie, has achieved a remarkable milestone by winning a top prize of $100,000 through the Instant Payline Multiplier lottery game. This win elevates her total lottery earnings to an impressive $445,000 since she began playing in 2018. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) confirmed her latest victory in a recent announcement.
Chlebus, who is 59 years old, has a long history with lottery games, having played since the inception of the Wintario lottery. Her previous wins include a substantial $100,000 top prize from Instant Jack Frost in 2018 and a remarkable $250,000 prize from Instant the Game of Life in 2022. Each win has added to her family’s excitement and joy.
Winning Strategy and Plans Ahead
The latest lottery ticket was purchased at Krazy Ernie’s Food Mart on McNabb Street in Sault Ste. Marie. On her decision to try the new game, Chlebus expressed her thrill: “I went to the store to buy my tickets and saw this new game, so I decided to give it a try.”
Upon returning home, she revealed her winning moment, stating, “My reaction was, ‘OMG – again?’ It was a surreal moment and I was very happy.” Her daughter shared in the joy, responding with surprise, “OMG, really?” Chlebus also informed other family members and friends, all of whom were equally astonished and delighted by her ongoing luck.
With her latest winnings, Chlebus plans to assist her daughter financially, embark on a vacation, and secure a comfortable retirement. “Being a winner is a great feeling — both exciting and overwhelming,” she shared. “I feel blessed to have won this prize.”
Promoting Responsible Gaming
The OLG emphasized its commitment to responsible gambling practices through its globally recognized PlaySmart program. “OLG supports safe play and wants to keep the fun in the game,” the organization stated in its release.
Chlebus’s story reflects not just personal success but also the joy that such wins can bring to families and communities. Her consistent engagement with lottery games exemplifies the excitement many players experience, reinforcing the idea that, for some, luck can indeed strike multiple times.
