This focus will be highlighted during the upcoming event, The Walrus Talks Innovation Nation, which will celebrate transformative research originating from Canadian universities. Scheduled for November 26, 2025, at the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa, the event aims to showcase how academic research is turning visionary concepts into practical solutions that benefit society.
The evening will feature a series of rapid-fire talks from award-winning researchers and pioneering experts. Each speaker will deliver a dynamic seven-minute presentation, exploring groundbreaking innovations that are making a significant impact across various sectors. Participants can attend the event in person or virtually. General admission is set at $20, while students and seniors can purchase tickets for $12. For those unable to attend in person, a live stream will be available free of charge upon registration.
