Prince Albert Science Centre Hosts Slime Lab for Halloween Fun

The Prince Albert Science Centre is set to bring some festive excitement to the community with its Halloween-themed slime lab. On October 18, 19, 25, and 26, families can enjoy a hands-on experience creating and decorating their own slime from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day. For an affordable price of $10 per container, this event promises to be a delightful activity for children and parents alike.
During a recent visit, paNOW reporter Nigel Maxwell engaged with Sandra Williams, the Chair of the Prince Albert Science Centre, to learn more about the event. Williams expressed her enthusiasm for the slime lab, highlighting how it offers a unique opportunity for children to explore science in a fun and interactive way.
Creating Memories with Slime
The slime lab is designed not only to entertain but also to educate. Participants will have the chance to mix their own ingredients, observing the chemical reactions that create slime. This hands-on experience is intended to spark curiosity about science in a playful environment. Williams noted that such activities are vital for fostering a love for learning among young visitors.
“We want to make science accessible and enjoyable,” she stated. “Events like this allow kids to get creative while learning about the scientific principles behind their creations.”
As Halloween approaches, the Prince Albert Science Centre aims to provide a memorable experience for families looking for seasonal activities. With the slime lab, attendees can expect not only to leave with their own custom slime but also to have fun bonding with family and friends in a lively atmosphere.
A Community Celebration
The slime lab is part of the Science Centre’s broader initiative to engage the community through interactive science programs. The Centre regularly hosts workshops and demonstrations that cater to various age groups, making science more approachable for everyone.
Parents interested in attending are encouraged to register in advance to secure their spots. This event is expected to draw significant interest, evidenced by previous popular programming at the Centre. With a combination of creativity and education, the slime lab promises to be a hit this Halloween season.
For more information about the slime lab and other upcoming events, families can visit the Prince Albert Science Centre’s website or contact them directly. This initiative reflects the Centre’s commitment to promoting science education in an enjoyable and engaging manner.
