Apogee Entertainment Unveils Quest Master’s Single-Player Campaign

Apogee Entertainment has announced the launch of a single-player story campaign for its popular game, Quest Master, which is set to exit Steam Early Access later this year. The reveal took place at gamescom, highlighting a handcrafted adventure designed to enhance the game’s creative aspects, which already include user-generated dungeons, a powerful level editor, and cooperative gameplay.
Since its debut in Early Access in May 2024, Quest Master has developed into a vibrant community platform. Players have created over 5,000 unique dungeons across seven elemental themes, contributing to the game’s extensive replayability. The upcoming version 1.0 will shift the narrative focus to a new setting, Aetheria, where players will explore lore through an expansive story campaign.
A New Adventure in Aetheria
The campaign introduces a bustling hub known as Castle Town, filled with non-playable characters (NPCs) and new interactive elements. Players will delve into the depths of Aetheria, confronting sinister forces that threaten the Great Barrier protecting the kingdom. Along their journey, adventurers will encounter a diverse cast of characters, navigate action-packed biomes, and uncover secrets hidden beneath the surface of the land.
“Quest Master is two games in one,” said Jeron Moore, Game Director and Executive Producer at Apogee Entertainment. “On one hand, it’s a robust dungeon-building platform powered by community creativity and endless replayability. On the other, it’s a story-rich adventure filled with memorable characters, layered mysteries, and a world that grows deeper the more you explore.”
This duality positions Quest Master as both a tribute to classic dungeon crawlers and a creative space for builders, blending nostalgia with contemporary design elements. The campaign will be complemented by an original soundtrack featuring new compositions that draw inspiration from the game’s existing music.
Availability and Pricing
Currently, Quest Master is available in Early Access on Windows PC, macOS, and SteamOS through Steam for a retail price of $19.99. A free demo is also accessible for new players eager to experience the game firsthand before the full release.
With this upcoming update, Apogee Entertainment aims to further engage its community while providing a rich narrative experience, ensuring that Quest Master continues to thrive as both a creative platform and an immersive adventure.
