Charge Rigs Launches FLEXX Mobile DC Fast Chargers to Transform EV Charging

On August 30, 2025, Charge Rigs unveiled its innovative FLEXX Mobile DC Fast Chargers, designed to address the growing demand for electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions. Based in Los Angeles, California, Charge Rigs aims to revolutionize the accessibility of EV charging through its high-capacity, mobile charging units that can be deployed in various locations, including rural areas, events, and emergency zones.
The FLEXX chargers stand out for their capability to deliver up to 240 kW of power. They are mobile, standalone units that can be easily transported on trailers, making them suitable for tight urban spaces and quick deployment without the need for fixed installations. This flexibility allows charging solutions to be set up within hours, significantly shortening the time it typically takes to establish traditional charging infrastructure, which can take months.
Addressing Infrastructure Barriers
Charge Rigs is motivated by the need to overcome major barriers to EV adoption, particularly the lack of accessible charging infrastructure. The company’s CEO stated, “This is a defining moment for EV access. With FLEXX, we’re making it possible to deliver high-speed charging exactly where it’s needed—no grid construction, no permitting delays, no boundaries.” This commitment to flexibility is crucial for both public and commercial applications.
The FLEXX units support multiple charging protocols, including CCS and NACS, and can interface with various battery storage systems and solar sources. Users can monitor charging sessions and manage operations through a connected dashboard, providing greater control over the charging process. The Vice President of Product Operations emphasized the importance of this technology, saying, “FLEXX enables instant charging anywhere—a total game changer.”
Environmental Benefits and Future Plans
The environmental advantages of the FLEXX chargers are significant, especially when compared to traditional diesel generators used for off-grid power. By offering emissions-free energy, these chargers align with state and federal climate mandates, making them an attractive option for municipalities and businesses looking to reduce their carbon footprint.
Charge Rigs is currently collaborating with several municipalities and transit agencies on pilot deployments, demonstrating the practical applications of the FLEXX chargers in various settings, including logistics yards, public events, and underserved rural areas. This flexibility is further enhanced by leasing options, allowing businesses to avoid significant upfront costs.
The FLEXX Mobile DC Fast Chargers are now available for commercial pre-order, with deliveries expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025. Interested parties can request a demonstration or consultation through the Charge Rigs website.
Founded in 2020, Charge Rigs is dedicated to creating scalable charging solutions that meet the demands of a rapidly evolving electric transportation landscape. To learn more about their offerings or to inquire about FLEXX, contact the Director of Marketing at Charge Rigs.
