Hide The Corpse has officially launched on PlayStation VR2, providing players with an unconventional gaming experience that blends humor with the challenge of concealing a body. Published by HyperVR Games and developed by Realcast, this quirky VR sandbox invites users to creatively stash away a character named Gus before time runs out.

The game, which is already available on Meta Quest, drops players into precarious scenarios. Upon starting, they are given just four minutes to hide Gus, the reluctant corpse, from the approaching police. Each level offers a unique environment, incorporating physics-driven interactions. Players can drag Gus, wipe away fingerprints, and search retro-themed rooms for the perfect hiding spot.

Exploring Diverse Environments and Challenges

Players can engage in various themed locations, each designed to enhance the absurdity of the gameplay. Options include hiding Gus in a Museum, stuffing him into a corner of a Garage, or even sending him to the depths of a Sunken Ship. The game raises the stakes with fantastical settings such as a zero-gravity Spaceship, which presents additional obstacles and slapstick opportunities.

To keep the gameplay fresh, players can earn points by eliminating evidence. These points can be utilized to unlock a variety of costumes for Gus, ranging from a glittery Disco outfit to zombie makeup and even a superhero suit. Furthermore, modifiers like Flubber introduce elements that cause Gus and other objects to bounce around, adding to the chaos and humor.

Developer Insights and Availability

The intention behind Hide The Corpse is to provide a lighthearted twist on a grim scenario. “We hope the PlayStation VR community can get a laugh out of Gus’ post-mortem adventure,” stated Eneko Barandiaran, Publishing Manager at HyperVR Games.

The game is now available for $14.99 USD on PlayStation VR2 and Meta Quest, with a version for SteamVR currently in development. Players looking for a unique blend of humor and challenge in virtual reality can now dive into this eccentric title.
