Inkbook Solaris Launches Color E-Reader for Pre-Order

The Inkbook Solaris, a new color e-reader, is now available for pre-order, targeting readers in Europe and the UK. This compact device aims to enhance the reading experience by not only supporting e-books but also audiobooks, marking a significant addition to the e-reader market.
Features and Specifications
The Solaris boasts a 6-inch E Ink Kaleido 3 color e-paper display with a resolution of 1872 x 1404 pixels, providing 300 PPI for black and white content and 150 PPI for color. The front-lit display includes a color temperature adjustment feature, ensuring comfortable reading in various lighting conditions. Customers can choose from four vibrant colors: black, yellow, blue, and pink.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a Quad-core ARM 64-bit Cortex-A55 processor, accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. This capacity allows users to store approximately 20,000 e-books. The Solaris also includes connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB-C port for data transfer and charging. The built-in 1900mAh battery is expected to last up to two weeks with continuous use, offering convenience for avid readers.
Operating System and Applications
The Inkbook Solaris operates on InkBOOK OS, which is based on Android 11. Users will find a variety of preinstalled applications, including Google Translate, Google Drive, and text-to-speech (TTS) functionality. Notably, the device supports sideloading applications for comics, manga, and popular platforms such as Kindle, Wattpad, and Kobo. Its app store enhances the versatility of the device, catering to a broad range of reading preferences.
The Solaris supports numerous e-book formats, including EPUB, PDF, MOBI, and more, ensuring compatibility with a wide array of digital content. It also delivers native support for languages such as English, Polish, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Dutch, making it accessible to a diverse user base.
The pre-order price for the Inkbook Solaris is set at €136.59, available through the InkBook website. As the company prepares for its launch following the pre-order phase, the Solaris represents a promising option for readers seeking a portable and versatile e-reading experience.
