Xiaomi Launches Global Rollout of HyperOS 3 with Enhanced Features
Xiaomi has officially launched the global rollout of its latest software, HyperOS 3, which is designed for devices based on Android 16. This rollout commenced with the Xiaomi 15T series and promises a range of new features including a redesigned interface, advanced artificial intelligence capabilities, and enhanced system-wide animations. The stable release began in October 2023, fulfilling a commitment made during the announcement of the Xiaomi 15T series.
Xiaomi made the announcement via its social media platform, stating that the update will be distributed in phases. Users of the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro who participated in the global beta program are expected to be among the first to receive the stable version of HyperOS 3. Notably, the Xiaomi 15 series and the Redmi K80 lineup were the initial recipients of the stable update in China.
Features and Future Rollout Plans
The introduction of HyperOS 3 marks a significant upgrade for Xiaomi, showcasing features aimed at improving user experience. The new operating system includes HyperIsland, which displays live activities from apps alongside notifications for calls, music, charging, and schedules. Enhanced integration with Google Gemini allows for improved AI functionality across the platform, while a focus on data protection is evident through the Unified Authentication Service that supports both on-device and cloud privacy computing.
Xiaomi is committed to extending the HyperOS 3 update to a wider array of devices, with plans for additional models to receive the software between October and November 2023. Following the Xiaomi 15T series, devices such as the Xiaomi MIX Flip, Redmi Note 14 series, POCO F7 lineup, Xiaomi Pad 7 tablets, and Xiaomi Pad Mini are all slated for the update. The full rollout is projected to continue through March 2026, with older models receiving the update last.
Xiaomi’s proactive approach in enhancing its software ecosystem reflects its commitment to delivering innovative technology to users worldwide. The company’s efforts to incorporate user-friendly features and robust AI capabilities in HyperOS 3 could significantly improve the overall user experience, setting a new standard in the smartphone operating system landscape.
