Brighton Launches Local Holiday Campaign to Boost Small Businesses
The Municipality of Brighton has initiated the Local Holiday ShopPIN’ campaign, a collaborative effort with Downtown Brighton aimed at promoting small businesses during the festive season. The campaign encourages residents to support local retailers by offering exclusive incentives.
Following the positive reception of the ‘Love Local’ tote bags, the Municipality and the Downtown Brighton Improvement Area (DBIA) have taken further steps to bolster local commerce. From December 8 to December 13, 2023, shoppers can receive one of 1,000 limited edition Brighton ‘Shop Local’ pins with a purchase of $35 or more at select retail establishments.
Details of the Campaign
The initiative is designed to reinforce the “Shop Local” message while rewarding consumers for their support. The pins come in two distinct designs and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with each customer eligible for one pin only. To qualify, purchases must exceed $35 before tax.
A complete list of participating businesses will be released soon, allowing shoppers to plan their visits accordingly. The collaboration aims not only to encourage spending within the community but also to foster a sense of local pride and engagement.
Community Impact and Future Initiatives
This campaign exemplifies the Municipality’s commitment to supporting local businesses, especially during the critical holiday shopping period. By incentivizing residents to shop locally, the initiative seeks to enhance the economic vitality of Brighton and strengthen community ties.
As the campaign progresses, officials hope to build on its success with additional initiatives that further promote local shopping. The positive reception of previous efforts, such as the tote bag distribution, indicates strong community support for initiatives aimed at boosting local commerce.
Brighton residents are encouraged to take part in the campaign and show their support for local businesses this holiday season. With the promise of unique pins and community spirit, the Local Holiday ShopPIN’ campaign is set to make a significant impact.
