Residents of the Okanagan region are invited to participate in a series of gatherings hosted by John Rustad, the leader of the Conservative Party of British Columbia. These events aim to foster dialogue about local concerns and share the party’s vision for a stronger province. The first meet and greet is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2023, at the Schubert Centre in Vernon, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The gatherings will provide a platform for residents to discuss issues that matter most to them and learn about the Conservative Party’s proposals. Following the Vernon event, Rustad will continue the conversation at Mid-Town Station Kitchen + Drink in Kelowna on Thursday, September 18, 2023, also at 5:30 p.m.. The series will conclude with an event titled “An Evening with John Rustad” at Haywire Winery in Summerland on Friday, September 19, 2023, starting at 4 p.m.. This gathering will feature MLA Amelia Boultbee and is designed to encourage community engagement.

The Conservative Party emphasized the importance of these events, stating, “We hope you can join us for this special event and be part of growing the Conservative movement in Vernon.” Attendees will have the chance to engage in open discussions about the challenges facing both Vernon and the broader province. Key topics will include strategies to protect individual freedoms and strengthen the economic landscape.

On September 16, 2023, Rustad visited Salmon Arm for a “Pizza and Politics” event, and he is also scheduled to appear in Kamloops for a pub night at On The Rocks on the evening of September 17, 2023.

These initiatives reflect the Conservative Party’s commitment to grassroots engagement, allowing constituents to voice their opinions and learn about the party’s platform in an accessible manner. Rustad’s approach aims to create a collaborative environment where community members can contribute to shaping the future of British Columbia.
