Local Woman, Abigale Fugett, Killed in Johnsburg Pedestrian Accident

A tragic incident occurred on March 4, 2024, when a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Richmond Road in Johnsburg, Illinois. The victim has been identified as Abigale Fugett, a 23-year-old local resident. According to the McHenry County Coroner’s Office, Fugett was crossing the intersection of Running Brook Farm and North Richmond Road when the accident took place.

Emergency responders from the McHenry Township Fire Protection District arrived at the scene shortly after the incident, which was reported at approximately 19:26. Fugett was transported to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries.
