OPP Seeks Public Help to Locate Wanted Man in New Hamburg Area

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are actively seeking assistance from the public to locate Jeffrey Caldwell, a 51-year-old man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant. Caldwell is currently a fugitive after breaching his parole conditions while serving time for multiple drug and weapons-related offences.

According to the OPP, Caldwell is known to frequent the New Hamburg area, as well as Ottawa and Hamilton. He has been described as approximately 6 feet tall, weighing around 235 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Additionally, he has a distinctive tattoo of a Celtic-style sun on his upper-left arm.

Caldwell’s criminal background includes a sentence of nearly two years for various charges, including possession of substances for trafficking, possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a restricted weapon, and obstructing a peace officer. These serious offences contribute to the urgency in locating him.

The OPP’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad is leading the investigation and is calling on anyone with information regarding Caldwell’s whereabouts to come forward. Reports indicate that he may be in the vicinity of New Hamburg, but he could also be moving between the other cities mentioned.
