Revelstoke Police Seek Public Help to Identify Graffiti Suspect

Revelstoke police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a person of interest linked to a series of graffiti vandalism incidents occurring throughout the city. The Revelstoke RCMP has reported multiple “acts of mischief” involving vandalism of both public infrastructure and private property in recent weeks.
According to the police, the unidentified individual has been responsible for defacing various locations with what they describe as “non-typical graffiti messaging.” While specific details about the targeted businesses or neighbourhoods remain unclear, it has been confirmed that municipal property has been affected.
Staff-Sgt. Chris Dodds emphasized the impact of these incidents, stating, “These incidents have been costly to the City of Revelstoke and local businesses and continue to be a nuisance for local residents.” The police are actively investigating the situation and are seeking to locate the person of interest identified during their inquiries.
Security Footage Provides Clues
Three security camera images released by the Revelstoke RCMP depict a white male wearing distinctive clothing. This individual was seen in a blue sleeveless vest, a green hoodie, hiking shoes, a black-and-white mask, a toque, and a headlamp. The police are hopeful that the public can help identify this suspect.
In late August and early September, the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 46) reported two separate acts of graffiti on different sides of its building, further highlighting the ongoing vandalism problem in the community.
Residents who have any information or can identify the person of interest are encouraged to contact the Revelstoke RCMP at 250-837-5255 or reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be reported online. The community’s involvement is crucial in addressing this issue and restoring order in Revelstoke.
