Sault Ste. Marie Man Arrested for Drug Possession Twice in Two Days

A man in Sault Ste. Marie has been arrested for drug possession on two separate occasions within a 48-hour period. According to local police, 24-year-old Dylan Taylor was discovered on December 24, 2023, in an unoccupied residence located in the 0 to 100 block of Wellington Street East. Officers reported that Taylor was found in possession of tools typically used for breaking and entering, along with approximately two grams of suspected methamphetamine.

The arrest was not an isolated incident. Just one day later, on December 25, Taylor was apprehended again, this time with about a gram of suspected fentanyl and an additional two grams of methamphetamine.

In total, Dylan Taylor faces multiple charges, including break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of break-in instruments, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance. His next court appearance is scheduled for February 23, 2024.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding these incidents, emphasizing the ongoing challenges posed by drug-related crimes in the community. The authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their neighborhoods.
